The multinationals will get a greater share when smaller firms disappear. Multinationals made great profits from the millennium bug in computer related equipment sales. Some believe that the millennium bug could have been be deliberately rigged to favour more computer related sales. Unnecessary spending on the Y2K bug has increased debts and therefore given the powerful greater control.
